What Makes a Dictatorship?

• There are many things that make up dictatorships. A few characteristics may help you figure out if a country is a dictatorship or not.
• Dictatorships often use censorship to keep the public unaware of what may really be going on.
• If you are not favored, dictatorships can lead to execution with out trial.
• For a political offense you may undergo a mock trial.
• One-party rules the country. This means they make all of the decisions and there is no one else to stop them.
